Thank you for your interest in contributing to A Pen and A Page! We welcome insightful, informative, and engaging book reviews from all genres. We’re thrilled that you’re eager to share your thoughts, opinions, and insights about your recent reads with our community of book lovers.

Before submitting your guest post, please adhere to the following guidelines to ensure your submission fits our website’s style and standards.

1. Content

We accept reviews from all genres. Your review can focus on newly released books, classics, undiscovered gems, or even audiobooks. Please ensure that your content is original, accurate, and non-plagiarized.

We do accept interviews with authors as well. If you are an author and would like your book featured, please reach out to lindsey@apenandapage.com.

2. Language and Tone

All submissions must be written in English. Maintain a professional yet approachable tone for a wide range of readers. Your writing should be clear, concise, and engaging.

3. Length

We recommend a review length of approximately 800-1200 words. This is not a strict limit but rather a guideline; however, we find this range allows for in-depth analysis without being overly lengthy.

4. Format

Your review should include the following:

– Book title
– Author’s name
– Genre
– A brief synopsis (without revealing any major spoilers)
– Your analysis and opinion of the book
– A concluding statement

5. Images

If possible, include a high-quality image of the book’s cover. Ensure that all images are copyright compliant.

6. Author Bio

Please include a short bio (50-100 words) at the end of your review. You may also include a headshot and one link to your personal blog, social media account, or author page.

7. Submission Process

All submissions should be sent as a Word document or Google Doc link to our email address (to be provided). Use “Book Review Submission” as your email subject line.

8. Editing

We reserve the right to edit your post for grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. We will communicate with you and get approval before publication if major edits are necessary.

9. Acceptance

Due to the volume of submissions we receive, we cannot guarantee that every post will be published. We aim to respond to all submissions within 2 weeks of receiving them.

By following these guidelines, you help us maintain the high quality of content our readers expect and enjoy. We look forward to reading your submissions and thank you for contributing to A Pen and A Page!
